IMAX Teacher Preview Pass The IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach, SC is pleased to offer you, at NO cost, an annual membership card for the school year. This pass will allow the holder unlimited visits to the Myrtle Beach IMAX® 3D Theatre from September 1, 2011 - June 10, 2012. The Teacher Preview Pass is not valid on Hollywood/Feature Films.

Students K-12: $5.75
Students College: $7.00
Adult Chaperone: $7.00

No other discounts or coupons, including the IMAX® 3D Educator Pass, are accepted with a group reservation.
Please check your school’s calendar for conflicts including assemblies, standardized tests, half-days, etc.
Have at least three possible dates available when you call to book, as some days and times may already be sold out or booked as another film.
Have a close estimate of the number of students and adults that will be attending the film. Seats can sell quickly, and we would hate for anyone to be left out! *Please note that final numbers are due two weeks prior to show date and payment in full is due 7 days prior to show date.* A 20% cancellation fee will apply for decreasing attendance or cancelling a group reservation less than one week prior to reservation date, especially in the months of March and April. We do not accept Purchase Orders at this time.
Once you have received your invoice from the IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach, begin distributing Field Trip Forms. Also, download, if available, a teacher resource guide for your film.
Contact your bus company to schedule transportation to and from IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the Beach.
Motorcoach Parking - Groups may be dropped off at the theater’s curbside and coaches may park in the larger lot behind the theater or in the designated Motorcoach Parking Area, just east of the theater, by the Visitors Center.
Make sure that all field trip forms and money are turned in at least two weeks prior to your reservation date. *Please note that full payment is due on all reservations at least two weeks in advance, and that once payment has been received tickets become non-refundable and non-exchangeable.*
Depending on time of day and size of group, we may not be able to accommodate walk up concessions. We recommend purchasing concessions in advance OR arriving 30-45 minutes before show time. All films must begin on time. To receive discounted concessions and to ensure that your order is ready upon arrival, pre-purchase concessions by contacting the IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach Group Sales Department. Please have a basic count so that we may ensure we have enough for your group. All pre-purchased concession packages include a voucher for a future child’s admission (call for more information). *Please note that a final count on the number of concession packages needed and full payment must be in at least 72-hours in advance of show-date.*

Two Weeks before your trip:

Review your goals for your visit. Use the educator resource guide to help interest the students in the topic. Film guides are available once the group is booked for a film. Some films may not have guides available.
Orient chaperones by sharing your field trip goals.
Contact the IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach, SC with a final count of the total number of students and adults you will have for the trip. Your final count is required two weeks in advance.
Obtain check payable to the IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach and mail to 1195 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, or payment can be made on a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card. No other discounts or coupons, including the IMAX® 3D Educator Pass, are accepted with a group reservation. Please note that purchase orders are NOT accepted.
All group sales are final and non-refundable.

One Week Before Your Trip

Payment in full is due no later than 7 days prior to the show date. A 20% cancellation fee will apply for decreasing attendance or cancelling a group reservation less than one week prior to reservation date, especially in the months of March and April.
Check on bus reservation and schedule.
Assemble a packet to bring with you: copy of the reservation confirmation, bus driver maps, list of all students and chaperones, group and bus assignments, schedule of the day and any activity sheets you will use.
Complete pre-visit classroom activities that integrate your curriculum with your field trip.
Review schedule and plans for the trip with students
If you are pre-purchasing concessions, call the IMAX® 3D Theatre Myrtle Beach with the count of how many concession packages you will need. Please be aware that full payment for concessions must be in at least 7 days prior to the show date.
Review Theatre Manners. Share behavior expectations and your own trip guidelines. Students must stay with their group/chaperones.

Theatre Manners: A few rules to assure a safe and fun trip for all.

Respect others in your group and other theatre patrons
Use indoor voices
No outside food, drink or candy is allowed in the auditorium
No climbing over seats, no feet on the seat backs
If your group is attending a 3D presentation, glasses must be returned after the show

Before leaving the school.

Meet with chaperones to review schedule, your expectations, and theatre manners
Get an accurate count of students

On Arrival

Arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled show time. If you are not seated immediately, please be patient, as there may be a previous show still running. Please call 843-448-IMAX (4629) to report if you will be arriving late.
The theatre is located on the south side of Broadway at the Beach across from Dragon’s Lair.
Upon arrival, the lead teacher should check in at the box office and pick up the groups tickets. If any additional tickets are needed, the group leader may purchase up to 10 at the group rate, based on availability of seating. Any additional tickets will be at available at regular, full price.
Chaperones should direct students to be quiet so the theatre staff can make all necessary announcements, including where to line up, when each group will begin seating, and where each group needs to go once seating has begun.
If concessions have been pre-purchased, an IMAX employee will help teachers or chaperones distribute the concession packages as students enter the auditorium. It will be the responsibility of the group leader to make sure that only those that have purchased concessions pick them up.
If concessions have not been pre-purchased, concessions may not be purchased before a group has been seated in the auditorium. Once the group has been seated, they may exit the auditorium and return to the concession stand. Please have at least one teacher accompany the students to the concession stand to help expedite ordering. Depending on time of day and size of group, we may not be able to accommodate walk up concessions. We recommend purchasing concessions in advance OR arriving 30-45 minutes before show time. All films must begin on time.
Restrooms are located on the 2nd floor.
